2025 Sony Open Odds: Hideki Heads to Waialae After Record-Breaking Win

Hideki Matsuyama is sitting atop the Sony Open odds board after last week’s record-setting performance in Maui.

Coming off a record-setting performance at The Sentry in Maui, Hideki Matsuyama is sitting comfortably atop the golf odds board for this week’s Sony Open in Hawaii.

This is otherwise a light field, with Corey Conners and Tom Kim rounding out the Top 3 but well below Hideki at Waialae Country Club. Read more in our full breakdown below.

Sony Open field

No one’s kicking off 2025 feeling better than Hideki Matsuyama, who set the PGA Tour’s 72-hole scoring record with a 35-under winning performance at The Sentry last week. As a result, he’s fetching particularly short +900 odds for another win this week.

This will be his 12th career try at the Sony, and considering he won in 2022, his short odds are surely warranted.

Sitting second is Corey Conners (+1400 to +1600), who’s played well in the few starts he’s made since the end of last season, finishing T7 at the Procore Championship, T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, and T5 at the Sentry last week. He also has four Top 15s in six career Sony Open tries, including a career-best T3 in 2019.

Running third is Tom Kim, and while he missed the cut here last year, he’s coming off a runner-up finish at the Hero World Challenge in his last start.

Rounding out the Top 5 is Russell Henley (+2000) and 2024 Sony Open runner-up Byeong Hun An (+2200).
